Hi, my name is Anthony Abate at Anthony Abate Realty and here is a quick summary of one of my favorite towns, Glen Ellyn. Glen Ellyn is a village located in the Dupage County in Illinois, and is the kind of village that you would want to live for a long time together with your family. Still not interested? Read on:
1. With a collective motto of “Village of volunteers”, Glen Ellyn has around 27,000 people situated in around 7 square miles of land. That is a fairly dense area with plenty of land to enjoy and a 3 percent of water to water recreation too.
2. Glen Ellyn has plenty of recreation to offer as well, mainly inclined towards nature. The Willowbrook Wildlife Center houses more than 80 native Illinois Animals that are open to public viewing seven days a week while the Illinois Prairie path is a long stretch perfect for joggers, bikers and even hikers. It also houses the Glen Ellyn Park District which has a total of 29 parks, 23 of which are multipurpose parks and playgrounds. Golf courses are one of the great attractions for recreation in Glen Ellyn. It houses the famous The Village Links of Glen Ellyn, which offers 27 holes of great golf experience.
3. The Glen Ellyn community gives importance to education to both children and adults on their way for their continuing education aspirations. The village houses the prestigious College of Dupage (which produced the Belushi brothers, James and John), along with more than 5 colleges and university any student would want to entrust their education with.
4. After a hard day’s work, one would want to wind down for a glass or beer or wine, and even order a nice meal to soothe their senses. Glen Ellyn is packed with great pubs and restaurants that range from traditional American cuisine, fusion food, and even European dishes. 5. Glen Ellyn is just around 25 miles west of downtown Chicago which is just a good smooth drive when going to and from work within the city. While it may be very near the city, it is still considered a quiet town that is not affected by the hustle and bustle of the city.
Glen Ellyn is a well-loved community that is fully embraced by its residents. Its proximity to the city of Chicago makes it a feasible area to live in without being too far away from work and yet becomes more conducive to live into because of its quiet and peaceful community. It houses a very high level of education system but it is fairly mixed with a wide range of recreation activities as well as for dining in for good food and drinks.
